CT Scan Addition - Langley, VA
Established prior to World War I in 1916, Virginia-based Langley AFB was the first Air Force Base built for air power and is now home to several Air, Fighter, and Reconnaissance Wings. In addition to hosting the nation's first jet fighter unit, the base is now home to the Air Force's newest fighter jet, the F-22 Raptor. Currently tasked with 'training and maintaining' for prompt mobilization during war and national emergencies, the base also provides for advanced medical care at its extensive healthcare facilities. When the decision was made to incorporate a new radiology unit at one of the existing facilities, it became clear that the existing structure would not accommodate the necessary space. Ramtech was able to design, construct, and install this 750 square foot permanent modular addition for a sophisticated CT scanner in less than 150 days.
